SAN MARCOS, Texas ----- Coastal Carolina women's basketball secured a 68-60 win at Texas State on Wednesday night inside Strahan Arena.
Savannah Brooks posted 18 points, 10 of which came in the second half, to help lead the Chanticleers to their sixth victory away from home.

With the win, CCU improved to 16-6 (7-5 Sun Belt) while Texas State dropped to 10-12 (4-8). With seven regular-season games remaining, the 16 wins mark the most for the women in teal since winning 25 during the 2019-20 season.

The key difference in the game proved to be points off turnovers as the Chanticleers won the category 20-7.

The Chanticleers return to action Saturday, Feb. 8, for a 4 p.m. tip against Buffalo as part of the Sun Belt-MAC Challenge. CCU won its road game in the challenge with a 65-62 victory over Central Michigan to open the season.
