Murray Named Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week

NEW ORLEANS ---- Coastal Carolina women's golf member Ella Murray was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for her performances in the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge from March 31-April 2.
The honor is Murray's first of her career while she becomes the first Chanticleer earn the distinction since Hannah Karg on April 5, 2024.
Murray paced the Chanticleers by finishing fourth overall with a final score of 212 (-1) as Coastal Carolina won the event with a team score of 855 (+3) at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.
The Dubbo, Australia native improved her score in each round, shooting a 74 in round one, 70 in round two, and finished off with a 68 in round three, her lowest score of the season. She was one of eight players with a round in the 60s in the tournament.
Murray and the Chants close out the season in the Sun Belt Conference Championship from April 14-17 in Point Clear, A.L. at the Lakewood Golf Club.
