No. 21 Coastal Carolina heads to Georgia State for a weekend Sun Belt set at the GSU Baseball Complex. The Chants and Panthers will start at 6 p.m. ET Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. All three games are slated for ESPN+ and the Chanticleer Sports Network.

  • FINISHING OFF ANOTHER LONG ROAD TRIP: Coastal's five-game trip concludes with a return game at Wake Forest on Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m.
  • FIRST PLACE TEAMS FACE OFF: Tied atop the Sun Belt standings, the Chanticleers hold a 16-7 advantage over the Panthers with Georgia State winning the series only once, in 2022. Coastal Carolina leads the Sun Belt in pitching with a 3.26 ERA (ranked fifth nationally), behind Jacob Morrison (1.90) and Riley Eikhoff (2.47). Georgia State leads the league in strikeouts with 315 as senior outfielder Kaleb Freeman leads the league in slugging percentage (.768), doubles (20), walks (44) and OPS (1.306).
  • BOUNCE BACK: After allowing three runs in the second inning at UNCW, Coastal's bullpen retired 21 of the final 27 Seahawks, led by game-winner Darin Horn, Hayden Johnson, Ryan Lynch, and Dominick Carbone.
  • HBP ON PARADE: The Chanticleers were hit by six pitches at UNCW, tying a season high. The Chants have been plunked an SBC high 78 times this season, No. 9 nationally and trailing national leader Winthrop (97).
  • FINDING A WAY: Dean Mihos didn't record a hit at UNCW, but scored twice and drew a walk. He also reached on an error during the three-run eighth.
  • PACKING THE PALACE: Coastal Carolina has drawn an average of 2,830 fans per game this season, totaling 48,104 across all home games at Springs Brooks Stadium, ranking No. 31 nationally and third in the SBC.
