ROME, Ga. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team saw its season come to a close with a 4-0 loss to No. 2-seeded Georgia Southern in the Sun Belt Championship semifinals on Saturday afternoon in Rome, Ga.
- The Chanticleers struck first in doubles play, as the No. 1 pairing of Jack Dixon and Emiliano Gonzalez Balmaceda earned a win to open the match. However, Georgia Southern responded with a 6-2 victory on court two and a 7-6 (4) win on court three to secure the doubles point.
- The Eagles carried that momentum into singles, notching straight-set wins on courts one, two and three to clinch the match.
- Gonzalez Balmaceda claimed Coastal's lone set in singles before the match was decided.
