Gain hands-on experience in NCAA Division I athletics while working with Coastal Carolina Athletics in athletic communications, creative services, marketing, social media or facilities and operations.
Student Assistant Opportunities
The Coastal Carolina Athletics Department is seeking student assistants to work as part of its staff during the 2026-27 academic year. Opportunities are available in athletic communications, creative services, marketing, social media and facilities and operations.
Both full-time opportunities for academic credit and part-time opportunities may be available. Previous experience is welcomed but not required. We value curiosity, initiative and a willingness to improve. Nights and weekends are required, and all applicants must be enrolled at Coastal Carolina University.

Athletics Communications student assistants receive hands-on experience in media relations, writing, statistics, publications and game-day operations. Students may also have the opportunity to assist with assigned Olympic sports under the guidance of the full-time communications staff.
What You'll Do- Write game recaps, previews and feature stories for GoCCUSports.com.
- Produce game notes, flip cards, media guides and other publications.
- Assist with live statistics, official scoring and NCAA Live Stats.
- Support press conferences, interviews and game-day media operations.
- Conduct research and help maintain statistical and historical records.

Creative Services student assistants help support the visual identity and storytelling efforts of Coastal Carolina Athletics across digital, print, promotional and recruiting platforms.
What You'll Do- Assist with graphics and visual content for teams, events and department initiatives.
- Support creative projects for regular-season, championship and postseason competition.
- Help maintain Coastal Carolina Athletics brand consistency.
- Contribute to promotional, recruiting and digital content.
- Assist with creative requests for game days and special events.

Marketing student assistants gain experience in fan engagement, promotions, event presentation, campus outreach and athletics marketing.
What You'll Do- Support the full-time marketing staff during office hours, athletic events and community appearances.
- Assist with sport-specific marketing plans and game-day production.
- Help with event setup, in-game promotions and sponsorship fulfillment.
- Support fan engagement initiatives and special events.
- Assist with campus outreach and promotional efforts.

What You'll Do- Assist with social media coverage of athletic events and department initiatives.

- Track social media trends and contribute content ideas.

- Assist with content planning for campaigns, promotions and special events.

Facilities and Operations student assistants serve as an extension of the full-time staff and play an important role in the successful operation of Coastal Carolina athletic events and facilities.
What You'll Do- Assist with game management for NCAA events and department operations.
- Help with stadium, arena and field setup and teardown.
- Support in-game operations, including ball rolling, floor mopping and other event responsibilities.
- Provide excellent customer service to spectators, competitors, staff and other event guests.
- Assist with the supervision of event-day staff.
- Help organize, plan and coordinate athletic events.
- Assist with athletic facility maintenance, cleaning and event laundry as assigned.
- Support other Athletics departments, including communications, marketing and promotions, apparel and equipment operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
