Babayan Earns Sun Belt Postseason Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina women's tennis senior Anna Babayan was named to the 2025 All-Sun Belt singles second team, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Babayan was a force at the top of the lineup, posting an impressive 11-2 record in dual singles action all while holding down the No. 1 spot the entire season. She went on a dominant nine-match win streak from Feb. 6 to March 18 and came through in the clutch, clinching key victories for the Chants against both Presbyterian and Charleston Southern.
In the No. 1 position, Babayan faced fierce competition, including No. 17 Sarah Hamner of South Carolina and No. 26 Ozlem Usla of Virginia Tech, holding both in check when matches were clinched. She recorded straight sets victories in 10 of her 11 wins.
The Chanticleers will commence postseason play against the No. 7-seeded Troy Trojans on April 24 at 2 p.m. ET in Rome, Ga.
