CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina women's basketball head coach Kevin Pederson has announced the signing of Mars Hill transfer Tateyoina Harris for the 2025-2026 season.
"We are excited to welcome Tateyoina and her family to Coastal Carolina!" Pederson said. Our staff has an extensive background at the D2 level and we've had a lot of success with players who have transitioned to D1 from D2 and we believe Tateyoina will be the next successful student athlete in this line. She averaged a double-double last season as a sophomore while posting an impressive field goal percentage for a very good Mars Hill team and she is a great fit for our style of play. Tateyoina played her high school ball for the ultra-successful Camden High School program and we're always excited when we can add in-state talent to our roster."
Harris, a 6-0 forward who enters the program as a junior, played at Mars Hill University from 2023-2025. The Camden, S.C. native is the fourth transfer signed by the Chanticleers for the upcoming season.
Harris started all 58 games she played through two seasons at Mars Hill. Last season, Harris started all 29 games for the Lions and nearly averaged a double-double with 12.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. She shot 57% from the field during her sophomore campaign.
Her 2023-24 season saw the forward also start 29 games in her freshman year. Harris averaged 10.8 points with 9.6 rebounds per contest. She scored a career-high 23 points at Emory & Henry on February 21.
Harris attended Camden High School in South Carolina.
