OMAHA, Neb. — Coastal Carolina (56-11) enters the Men's College World Series Finals riding a 26-game winning streak and looking to claim the program's second national title, with the last coming in 2016. The Chanticleers have won all eight of their NCAA Tournament games, including three straight in Omaha over Arizona, Oregon State and Louisville. They've outscored opponents 24-9 in the MCWS with a elite starting pitching, relentless defense, a top-to-bottom productive lineup and a deep bullpen.
Game 1 – June 13 | Coastal Carolina 7, Arizona 4
Coastal opened its Omaha run with a balanced 14-hit effort to top Arizona. Wells Sykes' two-run single gave the Chants an early lead, and late RBIs from Blake Barthol and Blagen Pado sealed it. Cameron Flukey earned the win in relief and Dominick Carbone closed it out for the save.
Game 2 – June 15 | Coastal Carolina 6, Oregon State 2
A first-inning three-run double from Colby Thorndyke helped Coastal jump ahead early. Jacob Morrison was dominant on the mound, tossing 7.2 innings of one-run baseball to improve to 12-0. Dean Mihos added a pair of hits, and Ryan Lynch earned the save.
Game 3 – June 18 | Coastal Carolina 11, Louisville 3
Coastal put up a six-run first inning and never looked back. Colby Thorndyke led the way with five RBIs and three hits, while Walker Mitchell added two RBIs. Riley Eikhoff got the win and the bullpen combined for 3.2 scoreless innings.
