- Coastal Carolina is making its second appearance in the MCWS Championship Finals and its first since 2016. The Chanticleers are now 2-2 in the MCWS Championships Finals, including taking two-of-three from Arizona on the way to the national championship in 2016.
- Making its second appearance (2016, 2025), Coastal Carolina is now 9-3 all-time in the MCWS.
- Coastal Carolina is attempting to become the fifth team to win national titles in each of its first two MCWS appearances, but the first in more than six decades. Texas (1949 & 1950), California (1947 & 1957), Minnesota (1956 & 1960) and Michigan (1953 & 1962) all won national championships in their first two MCWS appearances.
- Coastal Carolina is just the second Sun Belt school to make the MCWS, joining Louisiana in 2000 (the Ragin' Cajuns went 2-2). The Chanticleers were members of the Big South Conference when they won the title in 2016; they joined the Sun Belt less than eight hours after hoisting the trophy.

- Despite tonight's loss, Coastal Carolina owns a nation-leading 56 wins this season. The Chanticleers 56 wins are its most in in a single season in program history. The Chanticleers previous record was 55 wins, set in 2010 and matched during their national championship run in 2016.
- Head coach Kevin Schnall is the seventh head coach to lead his first team at a school to Omaha since the NCAA Tournament expanded in 1999 and the first since Jim Schlossnagle guided Texas A&M to the MCWS in 2022.
- Kevin Schnall is believed to be the fourth head coach to lead his team to the MCWS in his first year as a college head coach, joining Louisville's Dan McDonnell (2007), Florida State's Mike Martin (1980) and Texas' Cliff Gustafson (1968), and Friday's victory over Louisville made him the only one of those four to win his Omaha debut. That would make Schnall the only first-year head coach to ever win his first eight NCAA Tournament games.
- Kevin Schnall is the sixth head coach to reach the MCWS Championship Finals in his first season with a school and the first since Jay Johnson brought Arizona to Omaha in 2016. None of the previous five coaches won the national championship.
- Kevin Schnall's 56 wins are the most in Division I history by a rookie head coach. Only CSUN's Mike Batesole (52 wins in 1996) and Florida State's Mike Martin (51 wins in 1980) also won 50 or more.

- Coastal Carolina leads the country with a program record 178 hit-by-pitches this season, including two on Saturday. The Chanticleers 178 hit-by-pitches are the most in a single season in NCAA history, surpassing UC Irvine's 175 hit-by-pitches in 2024.
- Sebastian Alexander singled in the top of the third inning, recording the Chanticleers first hit of the game. His third inning single extended his team-leading hit streak out to eight consecutive games. During the 8-game hit steak, Alexander is hitting .424 (14-of-33) with four doubles, one home run and six RBI.
- Blagen Pado opened the fourth with his sixth double of the season down the left field line, extending his on-base streak to 18 straight games.
- Coastal Carolina tied a season-low with just three hits on Saturday. Chanticleer hitters went 0-for-9 with five strikeouts with runners in scoring position; tied for the most at-bats without a hit with runners in RISP this season (March 29 at Texas State).
- Cameron Flukey suffered just his second loss of the season, allowing just one run on four hits with nine strikeouts in 6.0 inning of work. Flukey's only other loss this season, came in a 1-0 loss to Texas State on March 29.
- Cameron Flukey allowed one run in the first inning tonight, marking just the fourth time in 17 starts this year that he has allowed a run in the first inning (2 vs. Kansas State on 2/15, 1 vs. Rutgers on 3/1 and 1 vs. Auburn on 6/6).
- Cameron Flukey struck out nine batters tonight, the second-most in a MCWS game by a Coastal Carolina pitcher, trailing only the 10 Arizona batters Mike Morrison struck out in the 2016 MCWS Championship Finals.
- Tonight was the seventh time this season Cameron Flukey has recorded nine or more strikeouts in a game. It was also the 12th time this year he has struck out five or more batters.
- Cameron Flukey threw a career-high 101 pitches tonight, surpassing his previous high of 100 pitches thrown in a regional win over Fairfield on May 30. This was the third time all season, Flukey has thrown 100+ pitches in a game.
- Coastal Carolina will resume the MCWS Championship Finals on Sunday on ABC at 1:30 p.m. CT against LSU. The Chanticleers will be the home team in game 2, needing a win to force an if necessary game on Monday.
