LAFAYETTE, LA. — Coastal Carolina women's basketball (9-11, 2-6) fell to Louisiana (2-17, 1-8), 69-66, on Wednesday at the Cajundome.
GAME RECAP
It was a tight first half, with the Ragin' Cajuns taking a 31-30 lead into halftime. Coastal grabbed a slight lead in the third, taking a 47-46 advantage to the final period. Louisiana used an 8-0 run to start the fourth to ignite its charge, leading by as many as seven. A late rally by Coastal was not enough as Louisiana won its first conference game of the year 69-66.
COASTAL LEADERS
Paige Bradley led the team with 16 points while adding five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Kristin Williams added 14 points while
Tracey Hueston set a career-high with 14 rebounds
. As a team, Coastal shot 32-percent from the field and 20-percent from long-range while making 20 of 33 free throw attempts.
