CONWAY, S.C. — Coastal Carolina head football coach Ryan Beard announced the additions to the Chanticleers' strength and conditioning staff, finalizing the football performance unit ahead of the 2026 season. The staff will oversee all aspects of football performance as the program prepares for the upcoming season.
Dr. Jackson Morris
Director of Football Performance
Morris joins Coastal Carolina as Director of Football Performance after spending the 2024 season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football at Missouri State. Prior to Missouri State, he assisted with the football and baseball programs at Tulane during the first half of the 2023–24 academic year.
Before his time at Tulane, Morris spent four years at Mercer University, where he progressed from intern to associate director of strength and conditioning. While at Mercer, he worked with multiple programs, including football, baseball, men's soccer, lacrosse, golf, and beach volleyball, and played a role in the development and implementation of the department's nutrition operation.
A former student-athlete, Morris played football at Georgia Southern from 2013–16. He earned his bachelor's degree in physical health and education in 2017 and his master's degree in kinesiology in 2018, both from Georgia Southern. Morris holds multiple professional certifications, including CSCS, SCCC, Precision Nutrition Level 1, and ALTIS Essentials.
Carter Rowland
Associate Director of Football Performance
Rowland joins the Chanticleers after serving as assistant director of athletic performance and nutrition coordinator at Arkansas State University, where he worked directly with the Red Wolves football program and oversaw nutrition planning for student-athletes.
His background includes experience as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Mercer University, a football strength and conditioning intern at Auburn University, and a sports performance coach at D1 Sports Training in Clearwater, Fla. He also coached high school football strength and conditioning at East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Rowland earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Auburn University and his master's degree in education from Mercer University. He holds CSCS, USAW Level 1, and CPR/AED certifications.
Greg Noel
Assistant Director of Football Performance
Noel comes to Conway after serving as a graduate assistant for football strength and conditioning at Missouri State. In addition to his collegiate experience, he also works as an online strength and conditioning coach, providing training services in both English and French.
His previous experience includes a strength and conditioning internship at Florida Atlantic University and time as an assistant football coach at Bishop's University in Canada. Noel holds multiple professional certifications, including CSCS, SCCC, FRCms, and FRAs.
He earned his master's degree in sport, exercise, and performance psychology from Barry University and completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at Florida Gulf Coast University.
