NEW ORLEANS — Matchups for the second round of the 2025-26 MAC-SBC Challenge have been set for Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026. Coastal Carolina men's basketball will welcome UMass to Conway, while the women's team will travel to Bowling Green.
 
The men's game against UMass will tip-off at 1 p.m. inside the HTC Center. The tip-off time for the women's game will be announced later.
 
In the first round of this season's matchups, the men's team fell to Western Michigan 76-71 on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025 in Michigan while the women lost 63-53 to Miami (OH) at the HTC Center on the same day.
 
ABOUT THE MAC-SBC CHALLENGE
The MAC-SBC Challenge – a scheduling alliance between the Mid-American Conference and Sun Belt Conference in men's and women's basketball – runs through the 2026-27 season. The teams from both leagues will play a single game in November and another in February during each year of the deal with each game being carried on an ESPN platform. Scheduling assistance is provided by Ordinal Sports Group. In addition to relevant NET data, geography and frequency of past contests will be considered in determining the matchups.
