CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team earned a 5-2 victory over the College of Charleston on Tuesday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
- With the win, the Chanticleers improved to 3-0 on the season.
- "Charleston gave us a great fight today. Coach Bruner really had them ready from the start," stated head coach Chris Powers. "We really needed this kind of match and I am very pleased how the guys handled the pressure of playing a quality opponent. It was a team win today."
- The Chants lost the doubles point before going on to win five of the six singles matches to clinch the victory.
- Coastal picked up singles wins on courts one, three, four, five, and six.
- Curzio Manucci delivered a strong performance winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-0 on court six to help seal the victory.
- Coastal returns to action Feb. 13 as it hosts Furman. The match will start at 1 p.m.
