NORFOLK, VA. — Coastal Carolina women's basketball snapped their three-game losing streak with a 69-62 win at Old Dominion on Wednesday evening in Norfolk, Va.
GAME RECAP
After falling behind 16-13 following the first quarter, the Chants outscored the Monarchs 20-9 in the second to take a 33-25 lead into halftime. Coastal's lead extended to 12 in the third quarter before Old Dominion closed the period out on a 15-7 run to cut the lead down to 48-44. The Monarchs took a 50-49 lead with 8:16 left in the game and led until
Tessa Grady knocked down a three-pointer with 3:41 left to put the Chants back on top 54-53. Coastal's lead extended to 10 with 1:40 remaining before Old Dominion went on a run to cut the lead down to one. The Chants scored the final six points of the game to close out the 69-62 win.
COASTAL LEADERS
Grady led the Chants in scoring for the fifth consecutive game with 22 points.
Kinsea Grimes provided 11 points while
Tateyoina Harris set a career-high with 16 rebounds. As a team, Coastal shot 39-percent from the field and 29-percent from long-range while making 14 of 18 free throw attempts.
