STATESBORO, GA. - Coastal Carolina women's basketball (12-14, 5-8) travels to Georgia Southern on Saturday, Feb. 14 in Statesboro, Ga. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+ as well as the Chanticleer Sports Network. 

ABOUT THE CHANTS

• Despite being 4-8 in conference play, the Chants are still the sixth-best Sun Belt team in the NET rankings, ranking 126th overall.
• The Chanticleers are one of the highest-volume three-point shooting teams in the country, ranking 18th with 8.9 three-pointers per game and 29th with 25.8 three-point attempts per game.   
• Coastal snapped a three-game losing streak with a 69-62 win at Old Dominion on Wednesday night.
• ODU took a four-point lead in the fourth quarter before Coastal went on a 14-0 run to secure the win.
• Coastal went 24-61 (39%) from the field and 7-24 (29%) from three-point range, while making 14 of 18 free throws.
• Tessa Grady led the Chants in scoring for the fifth game in a row with 22.  
• Through 25 games, Coastal ranks 54th in the country with 74.6 points per game
• Grady leads the team with 14.3 points per game. 

• Georgia Southern holds an 18-6 overall record and 11-2 in Sun Belt play, currently tied for first in the conference standings. 
• The Eagles beat Arkansas State 69-60 in Statesboro, Ga. on Wednesday. 
• Destiny Garrett leads the team in scoring with 15.3 points per game. 
• Hana Haden is in her second season as the head coach of the Eagles with a record of 34-24.   

• Coastal will be meeting Georgia Southern for the 20th time.  
• The Chants are 4-5 in Statesboro, winning in their last trip 67-56 on Feb. 12, 2025.
• Georgia Southern beat Coastal 60-50 in Conway earlier this season on Jan. 3, 2026.

• Junior Tessa Grady has reached another level the last five games, averaging 22.6 points per game.
• In those five games, Grady has shot 58% (40-69) from the field and 49% from three (20-41). 
• Grady ranks second in the conference during Sun Belt play in three-point percentage at 39%..

• Currently, Coastal ranks 18th in the country with 8.9 made three-pointers per game.
• The Chants are also ranked 29th in the country with 25.8 three-point attempts per contest.
• Both Kristin Williams and Tessa Grady rank in the top-15 in the country for made three-pointers, with Williams tied for third (77) and Grady tied for 14th (73).
• Williams and Grady rank second and third in the SBC with 3.0 and 2.8 three-pointers per game.

• Head Coach Kevin Pederson coined the term "Coastal Chaos" prior to last season due to his philosophy of tough defense and forcing teams to be uncomfortable. 
• The stats backed up the chaotic defense, as the Chants led the Sun Belt with 20.3 turnovers forced per game and ranked second in steals per game with 10.88.
• This season, Coastal ranks 51st in the country with 19.9 turnovers forced per game, and 134th with a turnover margin of 1.4.
