CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team stay undefeated and improve to 5-0 on the season with a 4-2 victory over William & Mary on Friday afternoon.
- With the win, the Chants improve to 5-0 on the season.
- "This was a heck of a battle with William and Mary. They jumped all over us on every court and I give them a lot of credit already playing a tough match earlier in the day," stated head coach Chris Powers. "We had to force the momentum in order to get back in this match and eventually earn four points. Great effort on both sides."
- Coastal earned four singles victories to secure the match.
- Christopher Norlin, Eric Tripathi, Juan Cruz Collardin, and Iannis Fernandes each picked up wins for the Chants.
- Iannis Fernandes sealed the win in incredible fashion, winning a 7-5 tiebreak in the third and final set after the first two sets were also decided by tiebreaks.
- The Chants are set to play UNCW Feb. 18 in Wilmington, N.C. with the first serve starting at 1 p.m.
