Cameron Flukey Named Unanimous Baseball America First Team All-American

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina junior right-handed pitcher Cameron Flukey has been named a unanimous First Team All-American by Baseball America, as announced by the publication.

Flukey was one of just three players nationally to earn unanimous First Team All-America honors and the only pitcher on the list to be a unanimous selection. The recognition adds to an impressive preseason resume that includes being named the 2026 Perfect Game Preseason Pitcher of the Year and earning Preseason First Team All-America honors from both Perfect Game and D1Baseball.

The unanimous recognition places Flukey alongside UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky and Georgia Tech outfielder Drew Burress as the only players to appear on every First Team ballot.

Flukey is coming off a breakout sophomore season in 2025, appearing in 18 games with 17 starts while compiling a 7–2 record across 101.2 innings pitched. He finished the season with a 3.19 ERA and a team-high 118 strikeouts while facing 414 hitters, limiting opponents to a .209 batting average. Flukey allowed just 78 hits on the season and recorded a complete-game shutout against Marshall on April 18.

His performance earned First Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors, a spot on the Sun Belt All-Tournament Team, and Third Team All-American recognition from D1Baseball.

Flukey continued to excel during the postseason, logging 22.0 innings with 25 strikeouts and a 3.27 ERA across four NCAA Tournament appearances. He was especially effective at the Men's College World Series, pitching 10.0 innings with 12 strikeouts and a 2.70 ERA in Omaha. A key contributor in wins over Auburn and Arizona, Flukey helped the Chanticleers sweep the Auburn Super Regional and advance to the College World Series for the first time since 2016.

Entering the 2026 season, Flukey is regarded as one of the top professional prospects in college baseball. According to MLB Pipeline, he is the No. 9-ranked prospect for the 2026 MLB Draft. The 6-foot-6 right-hander features a fastball and curveball combination, a plus slider, and advanced command, striking out hitters at a near 30 percent rate during the 2025 season.

Flukey anchors a Coastal pitching staff that helped fuel one of the most successful seasons in program history in 2025, when the Chanticleers posted a program-record 56 wins, captured both the Sun Belt Conference regular season and tournament championships, and advanced to the College World Series Finals.

Entering the 2026 campaign, Coastal Carolina has been picked among the nation's top teams in preseason polls, including a No. 6 ranking in the D1Baseball Preseason Top 25 and a No. 17 ranking in the Perfect Game Baseball Preseason Poll.

The Chanticleers open the 2026 season at home against Fairfield on Friday, Feb. 13, at Springs Brooks Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
