FOLEY, ALA. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team defeated UNCW 3-2 in their first match at the Sun Belt Championship in Foley, Ala. on Thursday. With the win, the Chants advanced in the winner's bracket and will face No. 2 Georgia State in the semifinals on Friday at 4:15 p.m. ET.  

The match came down to the No. 1 flight, with Emma Kunaus and Frida Meincke Lyø defeating the Sun Belt Pair of the Year in Grace Sistrunk and Lyvia Trimp in three sets to clinch the victory.

With the win, the Chants improved to 22-10 and extended their winning streak to 14.
