Chanticleers Receive NFL Rookie Minicamp Opportunities Following Draft

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina football will be represented at the next level once again, as three Chanticleers have accepted invitations to NFL rookie minicamps following the 2026 NFL Draft.

Wide receiver Malick Meiga will attend minicamp with the Carolina Panthers, while wide receiver and kick returner Malcolm Gillie earned an opportunity with the Las Vegas Raiders. On the defensive side, defensive end Noah Arinze will join the Kansas City Chiefs for rookie minicamp.

The 6-foot-4 Meiga appeared in 11 games during his final season with the Chanticleers, recording 19 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown.

Gillie, a dynamic playmaker, earned All-Sun Belt honorable mention honors as a kick returner after totaling 467 kickoff return yards and a touchdown, including a 96-yard return score. As a wide out, he appeared in all 13 games and caught eight passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns

Arinze, a 2025 Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week honoree in Week 4, appeared in all 13 games during his senior season and totaled 37 tackles, including 6.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.

The trio will now look to impress at the professional level, continuing Coastal Carolina's growing presence in the NFL pipeline. Invitations to rookie minicamps provide players an opportunity to compete for roster spots, free agent contracts, and future opportunities at the next level, with camps typically held on the first or second weekend following the draft.
