CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 4-2 decision to James Madison on Friday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex.

The Chanticleers opened the match strong, securing the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. The duo of Iannis Fernandes and Curzio Manucci earned a 6-3 win on court two, while Rivers Cahill and Jack Dixon followed with a 6-3 victory on court three to give Coastal an early 1-0 lead.
Coastal continued to battle in singles play, with Christopher Norlin picking up a victory on court one, defeating Esteve Agusti 6-2, 6-2 to give the Chants a 2-0 advantage.
Despite the early momentum, James Madison responded by winning four singles matches on courts two, three, four, and five to clinch the 4-2 victory.
Several matches were tightly contested, including a three-set battle on court five, as the Dukes secured the comeback win in the Sun Belt Conference opener.
Coastal will look to bounce back in its next match as it hosts Georgia State on April 5 at 10 a.m. at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
