Women's Basketball Signs Anja Djukic

CONWAY - Coastal Carolina women's basketball head coach Kevin Pederson has announced the signing of Weatherford College-transfer Anja Djukic for the 2026-2027 season.

"We are excited to welcome Anja and her family to Coastal Carolina!" Pederson said. "The Point Guard position was a high priority for our staff entering this portal recruiting season and we feel like Anja is going to be a great fit.  She lead the Junior College level in assists per game at 8.7, and that's exactly what we were looking for.  We feel like we have proven scorers on this team and I think everyone is going to love playing with Anja because she is the type of player that makes everyone around her better."

Djukic, a 5-5 point guard who enters the program as a redshirt junior, played at Weatherford College from 2024-26. The Paracin, Serbia native is the fourth transfer signed by the Chanticleers for the upcoming season.

Djukic started all 27 games for the Coyotes this past season, leading the team with 8.7 assists per game while also averaging 8.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. Following the season Djukic was named Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Honorable Mention.

Her 2024-25 season saw the point guard start all 30 games while averaging 6.3 assists per game to go along with 6.3 points per game.

Djukic brings national experience to Conway, having played in the 2022 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship with the Serbian National Team.
