CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina will open play in the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Championship on Wednesday, May 20, as the No. 2 seed following the conclusion of the regular season. The Chanticleers will open tournament play at 1:30 p.m. ET at Riverwalk Stadium against an opponent still to be determined.

The Chanticleers will face the highest-seeded first-round winner following the single-elimination games between No. 7 Louisiana and No. 10 Marshall Thundering, and No. 8 Old Dominion Monarchs and No. 9 Georgia State. The lowest-seeded winner will face regular season champion Southern Miss at 5 p.m. ET.

The Chanticleers finished the regular season with a 36-19 overall record and a 21-9 mark in Sun Belt Conference play, marking their second consecutive 20-win conference season under head coach Kevin Schnall.

The 2026 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Championship will run from May 19-24, with the tournament champion earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
