Baseball Places Four On CSC Academic All-District Team

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina placed four student-athletes on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Baseball Team, the organization has announced.
Redshirt junior Colby Thorndyke, junior Blagen Pado and sophomores Luke Jones and Rex Watson were each recognized for their combined academic and athletic achievements. They are the first CCU baseball student-athletes to be named CSC Academic All-District® since 2023.
To be eligible for this honor a student-athlete most be at least a sophomore and have completed at least one full year at their current institution in addition to maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA while playing in at least half of the team's contests.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 23.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
