Women's Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Honors; Eight Named Scholar-Athletes

GILBERT, Ariz. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team was recognized for its success in the classroom by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), earning the 2026 ITA All-Academic Team award while placing eight student-athletes on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list.
Representing the Chanticleers as ITA Scholar-Athletes were Paula Cabrer, Sarah Clark, Brooke Rogers, Francesca Simpson, Francisca Laundes, Aida Mitrache, Brunelle Kouam, and Diana Zuba.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale during the current academic year and be listed on their institution's eligibility form.
The Chanticleers also earned ITA All-Academic Team recognition by posting a team grade-point average of 3.868
A total of 1,501 NCAA Division I women's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes in 2026, while 231 programs earned ITA All-Academic Team distinction.
