2026 Men's Tennis Season Recap

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina men's tennis concluded the 2026 season with a 12-11 overall record and a 1-2 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.
The Chanticleers recorded the program's first winning season since 2019 under head coach Chris Powers, who also earned the 250th victory of his career with Coastal's 7-0 win over USC Sumter.
Coastal turned in several dominant performances throughout the season, posting six shutout victories over USC Sumter, UNCG, SCAD, Queens, Campbell and Georgia State in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship. The Chants also defended their home courts at the Stevens Tennis Complex, posting a 7-4 record.
In Sun Belt Conference play, Coastal earned a regular-season victory over Georgia State before defeating the Panthers again in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship to advance to the quarterfinals. The Chants' season came to a close against No. 54 Old Dominion in the quarterfinal round.
Individually, Curzio Manucci led the team with an 11-7 singles record while delivering the match-clinching point in Coastal's Sun Belt Conference Championship opening-round victory over Georgia State and the comeback victory over Elon. Eric Tripathi, Juan Cruz Collardin and Christopher Norlin followed shortly behind with nine singles victories apiece.
Senior Christopher Norlin also enjoyed an outstanding campaign, earning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week honors twice during the spring, becoming the first Chanticleer since Vuk Velickovic in 2016 to receive multiple Sun Belt Player of the Week honors in a single season. He also earned a ranked victory over No. 94 Veljko Krstic of Elon.
The Chants also garnered several conference honors. Christopher Norlin was named to the All-Sun Belt Singles First Team, while the doubles tandem of Norlin and Eric Tripathi earned All-Sun Belt Doubles Second Team honors and All-Tournament Team recognition.
As a team, Coastal compiled a 58-47 singles record (.552 winning percentage) and a 31-21 doubles record (.596 winning percentage).
