Volleyball Reveals 2026 Schedule Featuring Five Power-Conference Matchups

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina head volleyball coach Steve Loeswick has announced the Chanticleers' 2026 schedule, a 28-match regular-season slate that includes three in-season tournaments and a 16-match Sun Belt Conference schedule.
Coastal will play 10 non-conference matches, which feature five matches against power-conference opponents, including Duke twice, Tennessee, Indiana and NC State, before opening conference play Sept. 25-26 against Georgia Southern in Conway.
Following a pair of preseason exhibitions, the Chanticleers will officially open the 2026 campaign by hosting Duke on Friday, Aug. 28, in the opening match of the Coastal Carolina Invitational. Coastal will wrap up the opening weekend by welcoming Queens to Conway on Sunday, Aug. 30.
The Chants hit the road the following weekend for a three-match event in Jacksonville, Fla., where they will face UConn and tournament host Jacksonville on Sept. 4 before taking on 2025 MEAC champion Florida A&M on Sept. 5.
A challenging stretch continues with road matches at 2025 Southern Conference champion Wofford (Sept. 10) and 2025 NCAA Tournament participant Tennessee (Sept. 12) before a trip to Duke on Sept. 15. Coastal returns home to host the Chanticleer Classic, welcoming 2025 NCAA Austin Regional semifinalist Indiana on Sept. 18 and NC State on Sept. 20.
Sun Belt Conference play begins Sept. 25-26 when Georgia Southern visits Conway for a two-match series. Coastal follows with consecutive road weekends at App State (Oct. 2-3) and Old Dominion (Oct. 9-10) before making a non-conference midweek trip to UNCW on Oct. 14.
The Chanticleers return to the HTC Center for home conference series against Marshall (Oct. 17-18) and Georgia State (Oct. 23-24) before traveling to James Madison on Oct. 30-31.
Coastal closes the regular season by hosting Troy on Nov. 5-6 before wrapping up the conference slate Nov. 13-14 at Louisiana. The 2026 Sun Belt Conference Championship will be held Nov. 19-22 in Foley, Ala.
Prior to the start of the regular season, the Chanticleers will host High Point in an exhibition match on Aug. 15 before traveling to Winthrop for a second exhibition on Aug. 22.
