Coastal Carolina Athletics to Host Game Day Host Tryouts

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina Athletics is searching for engaging personalities to help elevate the game day experience during the upcoming athletic season.
Individuals interested in serving as a game day host for Coastal Carolina football, men's basketball, women's basketball and baseball are invited to attend the Coastal Carolina Athletics Game Day Host Tryouts on Monday, July 27, at 6 p.m.at Brooks Stadium (540 University Blvd., Conway, S.C. 29526).
Selected participants will be invited back for callback auditions on Tuesday, July 28, at 6 p.m.
More than simply energizing a crowd, Coastal Carolina Athletics is looking for individuals who can serve as welcoming game day hosts and storytellers. Ideal candidates are comfortable on the microphone, enjoy interacting with fans of all ages, and can create memorable moments through authentic conversation, promotions, contests and in-game features.
Successful game day hosts will help fans feel connected to the Chanticleer game day experience while representing Coastal Carolina Athletics with professionalism, enthusiasm and school spirit.
Throughout the audition process, participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their public speaking abilities, crowd interaction skills, creativity and stage presence through a variety of game day scenarios.
Those selected will play an important role throughout the year by welcoming fans, hosting in-game promotions, recognizing special guests, telling the stories happening around the venue and helping create an engaging, family-friendly atmosphere at Chanticleer athletic events.
Individuals who are unable to attend the in-person tryout may still be considered. Please contact rcajohn@coastal.edu to receive a script and instructions for submitting a video audition.
