Wayne Earns Spot on East-West Bowl 1000 Watch List

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina graduate defensive back Ja'Marion Wayne has been named to the Shriners Children's East-West Bowl 1000, a preseason watch list recognizing the nation's top prospects eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft.
Wayne is the lone Chanticleer included among the approximately 1,000 players selected by the East-West Bowl scouting department. The list provides an early look at the prospects being evaluated for potential participation in the upcoming all-star game.
Wayne earned Preseason All-Sun Belt First Team honors after starting all 12 games at cornerback in 2025. He finished among Coastal's team leaders with 61 tackles while adding 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception, two forced fumbles, seven pass breakups and a blocked field goal.
The Shriners Children's East-West Bowl 1000 features players from all levels of college football who are projected as potential NFL Draft selections, undrafted free-agent signees or rookie minicamp invitees.
The 102nd Shriners Children's East-West Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 4, 2027, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The nation's oldest college football all-star game showcases top prospects in front of scouts, coaches and executives from all 32 NFL teams while supporting the mission of Shriners Children's.
