Olivia Lawrence Named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS — Coastal Carolina women's soccer student-athlete Olivia Lawrence was named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Lawrence marks the first Sun Belt Player of the Week recipient since Eleanor Ashton in October 2024.
The freshman had an excellent week for the Chants, recording two goals and one assist across 85 minutes of playing time.
Lawrence first notched an assist against the Florida Gators to narrow the gap to 2-1 before netting the equalizer with just one minute remaining in the half. She continued to excel against Central Michigan, finding the top-right corner to give the Chants a 2-0 shutout victory.
Lawrence's performance helped Coastal split its two matches on the week, earning a 2-1 record through the opening three contests of the season.
Coastal will return to action on Aug. 27 to take on UNCG at 6 p.m. in Greensboro, N.C.
