Dolan, Groves Win Individual Titles as Coastal Sweeps Chanticleer Challenge

CONWAY – Megan Dolan won the women's 5k and Adam Groves claimed the men's 8k as Coastal Carolina Cross Country took the men and women's team titles in the Chanticleer Challenge in Conway, S.C. on Friday night.
Dolan finished in a personal-best time of 17:56.27, beating Olivia Fischlein who finished second with a time of 17:56.86. Overall, the women's team placed nine in the top 11 and took the team title with a final score of 18.Â
Groves claimed the top spot for the third year in a row in the home meet, finishing with a time of 24:20.15. Owen Mullins followed close behind in second with a time of 24:24.61. The men's team finished in each of the top seven spots to win the team title with a final score of 15.
Coastal's next meet is set for Oct. 2 with the Richmond Invitational in Virginia.Â
