• Was a silver medalist in the Norwegian National Championships in soccer
• Cousin, Sigurd Folgero-Dalen, played soccer at Boston University from 1996-2000 where he finished his career as one of the school's all-time leading scorers
• Second cousin, Morgan Sulele (Magnus Clausen), is a Norwegian singer who had a number one hit in Norway
