Joe Singley is in his second year as a student assistant for the Coastal Carolina baseball team in 2021-22.
Singley, who works with both the Coastal pitchers and catchers, was a two-time all-state selection at catcher at Archmere Academy. Rated as the No. 2 catcher and the No. 9 overall prospect in the state of Delaware coming out of high school in the class of 2016, Singley was a two-time all-conference selection and played for the All-Star Baseball Academy, Glideas Raiders, and the Colorado Rockies Pro Scouts club teams.
Previously a catcher at Tulane and Indian River State College, Singley saw his collegiate career cut short due to four shoulder reconstruction surgeries.
His father, Joe Singley, played football at Temple University and then went on to play professional baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox. Following his father's passing due to cancer, Singley started the foundation called Singley Strong in his honor to help families struggling with cancer.
Singley continues to share his passion for the game of baseball by teaching and working with hitters and catchers. Having grown up around professional baseball his whole life, he has developed a deeper passion and understanding for catching.
