Tanner Costine joined the Coastal Carolina Baseball program as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2025.
Prior to joining the staff at Coastal, Tanner worked in the Chicago Cubs organization from 2022-2025. While with the Cubs, Tanner served one season with the Single-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans and three seasons with the Cubs Arizona Complex League team.
Tanner also worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2020-2022 at Liberty University. During his time at Liberty, he obtained his Master's Degree in Exercise and Sport Performance and worked with the Football, Golf, and T&F programs.
As a native of North Carolina, Tanner obtained his Bachelor's in Athletic Training from East Carolina University. Since his start as an Athletic Trainer, he has grown a passion for facial manipulation and soft tissue mobilization, obtaining several certifications in those areas.
When he's not helping the Chanticleer baseball players Tanner is spending time with his wonderful wife Tiffany and daughter Addie.
