Prior to Coastal Carolina: Came to Coastal as a 28-year-old rookie in the spring of 2013 ... Spent six-and-a-half years in the Navy ... First year was spent on a boat with tours to Africa and Europe ... Re-enlisted and went through extensive training to provide direct support and carry out missions for SEAL Team 2 ... Spent a nine-month tour in Afghanistan, providing round-the-clock security for a forward operating base while also training the surrounding villagers how to defend themselves ... Played high school football at Greenwood High.
