Graduated in August 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science ... Received a master's degree in instructional technology in December 2021 ... One of only two players in Sun Belt history to be a five-time all-conference honoree (as of 2021) ... Holds the Coastal Carolina record for games played (61) and starts (61), as he made 61-consecutive starts from 2017 through 2021.

  • Played every snap at right guard in wins over Kansas (Sept. 12), at then-No. 21 Louisiana (Oct. 14), versus Georgia Southern (Oct. 24), against South Alabama (Nov. 7), versus Appalachian State (Nov. 21), against then-No. 8 BYU (Dec. 5), at Troy (Dec. 12), and in the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl versus No. 23 Liberty (Dec. 26)
  • Rated as the top offensive lineman in eight of the 12 games for the Chants
  • Totaled a team-high 36 pancake blocks on the season
  • Had a season-high eight pancake blocks and graded out at 92 percent in the road win at Troy
  • Recorded five knockdowns and graded out at 91 percent in the home win over Arkansas State

  • The Chanticleers' offense ranked first in the Sun Belt in scoring (37.2 ppg), second in total yards on the season (5,398), third in total yards per game (449.8), third in rushing (218.3 ypg), and fifth in passing (231.5 ypg)
  • The offense was also first in the conference and among the nation's leaders in third-down conversion percentage (52.3), fourth-down conversion percentage (76.5), and average time of possession per game (33:50)

  • Played in and started all 36 games over the first three years of his playing career
  • Played in and started all 12 games upfront for CCU this season 
  • Lined up both at the center and right guard positions this season for the CCU offense which recorded over 400 yards of total offense five times, including a season-high 636 yards in the road win at UMass (Sept. 21)
  • Graded out as the top offensive lineman for CCU in 11 of the 12 games
  • Recorded a team-high 14 knockdowns in the road win at Kansas (Sept. 7), the Chants' first-ever win over a Power 5 opponent
  • Also had 12 knockdown blocks in the home win over Troy (Nov. 2) and 11 more in the road contest at Arkansas State (Nov. 16)
  • Behind Carter and the offensive line unit, the Chants were 23-for-29 (79.3 percent) on fourth-down attempts which was the second-best percentage both nationally and in the Sun Belt
  • The 23 fourth-down conversions were tied for the third-most nationally behind only Army and Navy with 26
  • Named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 first team
  • Earned a spot on the Dean's List (3.5 GPA or higher) for the 2020 spring semester

2018 (Redshirt Sophomore)

  • Named All-Sun Belt honorable mention
  • Played in and started all 12 games at center for the Chants
  • Part of the offensive unit up front that led the CCU rushing attack to rank fourth in the Sun Belt and 41st nationally with an average of 198.7 rushing yards per game
  • Helped lead the way for the Chants' offense to total 574 offensive yards in the win at Campbell (Sept. 12), the most for a CCU offense in a single game since 2015
  • Graded out as the top offensive lineman in 10 of the 12 games on the season
  • Recorded a season-high 15 takedown blocks in the road win at UMass (Oct. 20)
  • Also totaled 14 knockdown blocks in the road win at Louisiana (Sept. 22) and the following week on the road at Troy (Sept. 29)
  • Posted 13 knockdown blocks at home versus ULM (Oct. 13) and 12 against Georgia Southern (Nov. 17)
  • A member of the President’s List (4.0 GPA) in the fall of 2018 and the Dean’s List (3.5 GPA or higher) in spring 2019
  • Received Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List recognition for posting at least a 3.5 GPA for the 2018-19 academic year

2017 (Redshirt Freshman)

  • Led the team with 69 knockdown blocks (second-most on the team for 2017 was 45)
  • Was the  team's top-graded offensive lineman six times in 12 games, including the UMass (Sept. 2), UAB (Sept. 16), Texas State (Oct. 29), Troy (Nov. 11), Idaho (Nov. 18), and Georgia Southern (Dec. 2) games
  • Served as a game captain for the Appalachian State (Oct. 21) contest
  • Tallied 12 knockdown blocks at ULM (Sept. 30) alone and had nine at Arkansas (Nov. 4)
  • In his collegiate debut versus UMass, logged eight of the team's 18 knockdown blocks
  • Recipient of the team’s Strength & Conditioning Offensive Athlete of the Year award
  • Earned President’s List (4.0 GPA) honors for the fall of 2017 and Dean’s List (3.5 GPA or higher) recognition for the spring of 2018
  • Received Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List recognition for posting at least a 3.5 GPA for the 2017-18 academic year

  • A three-time Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) All-State selection at Monroe Academy
  • Won the AISA Lineman of the Year Award as a senior and was a finalist for the honor as both a junior and sophomore
