Coastal Carolina head men's tennis coach Chris Powers announced former Chanticleer Mo Hookaylo as the program's assistant coach in August 2014. Hookaylo was a member of the Chanticleer tennis team from 2011-14 and will be completing his MBA at the University while working with the tennis team.
"Mo is going to be a pleasure to work with this year," Powers said. "He is loyal and hardworking, and I think he is a great fit for the team. We are hoping for a special season, and I know Mo will put all of his energy into helping the program reach its goals."
Hookaylo has been a tennis instructor at Conway's Riverfront Youth Clinic since 2010 and has provided individual lessons, including a player that is currently among the top 10 players in the state in girls 14-and-under.
A native of Hilton Head and product of Hilton Head Prep - where he helped the Dolphins to two SCISA championships - Hookaylo received his degree in recreation and sport management from Coastal Carolina in the spring of 2014.
