Niccolo Rossi joined Coastal Carolina men's tennis head coach Chris Powers' staff in August 2022 as a graduate assistant coach after playing one season for Powers in 2021-22.
Rossi played in all 21 matches on the 2022 spring season for the Chanticleers. He posted a 10-9 overall record in singles play, including going 2-4 in Sun Belt Conference play. His 10 singles victories were tied for the third-most on the team. In doubles play, he teamed up with Bastien Huon to go 9-8 overall, including posting a 2-3 mark in SBC play. Eight of his nine doubles victories came at the No. 2 doubles position.
A 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 selection, Rossi was named to the President's List (4.0 GPA) for both the 2021 fall and 2022 spring semesters.
Rossi came to Coastal Carolina after four years at Cardinal Stritch, where he was named the 2021 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Player of the Year and was a CCAC All-Conference selection in both singles and doubles play his senior season after going undefeated in both CCAC conference and tournament play on the year. He helped lead the Wolves to three consecutive CCAC conference regular-season and tournament championships in 2018, 2019, and 2021. The 2020 spring season was canceled in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He was named to the CCAC All-Conference team for both singles and doubles three times (2018, 2019, and 2021) and was a three-time team captain. He was a two-time NAIA Regional Champion in doubles play (2019 and 2020) and a two-time ITA All-American in Men's NAIA College Doubles (2019 and 2020).
An eight-time member of the Dean's List at Cardinal Stritch, he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in both International Business and Psychology. He is working on his MBA at Coastal Carolina.
