Biography

Chasity Johnson was a four-year member of the track and field team (2004-07) and earned All-American honors in the indoor triple jump in 2005 with an eighth-place finish. She additionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2005, placing third at the NCAA East Regional to earn All-Region honors, and the NCAA Outdoor East Regional in 2006. She was a 20-time Big South champion (11 indoor and nine outdoor) and earned a total of 36 All-Big South honors (20 indoor and 16 outdoor). Johnson was the Big South[apos]s Track and Field Female Athlete of the Year in 2005 (encompassing all track & field athletes for the indoor and outdoor seasons) as well as the Big South[apos]s Most Outstanding Field Performer at the 2004 and [apos]05 Indoor Championships and the league[apos]s Most Outstanding Field Performer at the 2005 Outdoor Championships. She still owns the CCU records in the indoor long jump, indoor triple jump, outdoor long jump and outdoor triple jump. Thanks to qualifying for the NCAA Championship and performing well in the classroom, Johnson earned NCAA Division I All-Academic honors by the USTFCCCA.
