Amanda Daneker

Amanda Daneker-McMahon was promoted to assistant coach in September 2021 after working as a volunteer assistant coach since August 2018. She currently serves as the recruiting coordinator and the primary coach for the hitters at Coastal.

In 2023, Daneker-McMahon was inducted into the West Branch Hall of Fame and is recognized as one of the most highly regarded softball players to ever come from the West Branch.

During her high school career, Daneker-McMahon was a three-time first-team all-state catcher for Loyalsock Township Athletics and was named the 2013 Sun-Gazette Female Athlete of the Year. She finished her career with 144 hits, 109 RBIs and 104 runs, while maintaining a batting average over .500. As a junior, she hit .603 with five home runs, 31 RBIs, and 30 runs. In her senior year, she hit .600 with five home runs, 11 doubles, 34 RBIs, and 34 runs, leading the Lancers to their first league title in five years in 2013. Additionally, she was a four-time all-conference selection as a goalkeeper for Loyalsock Township Girls Soccer, contributing to the team's 2009 state championship victory and earning two first-team and two second-team all-conference honors.

Daneker-McMahon went on to become a three-time captain for the Coastal Carolina softball team. She was a two-time Second Team All-Big South catcher (2014, 2015), earned a spot on the 2014 Big South All-Freshman Team, and helped lead the team to the 2014 Big South Championship final. Over the course of her career, she posted a .307 batting average with 129 hits, 18 home runs, and 78 RBIs, despite dealing with injuries.

Daneker-McMahon earned her bachelor’s of science degree in exercise and sport science in May 2017.
