Coastal Carolina University Athletics

Jessica Winans is in her second year on Kelley Green's staff as the director of softball operations.

Winans' primary duties include facilitating team and individual workouts, setting up practice and coordinating camps. She will also oversee the program's video production.

Winans was a four-year starter at shortstop for the Coastal Carolina softball team, playing in 224 career games, while helping the Chanticleers to two Big South Conference regular-season championships and one Big South Tournament title. She was a member of the Big South All-Tournament team in 2013, and ranks fourth in CCU history with 94 walks and tied for 10th with 21 home runs. She also totaled 118 hits, including 21 doubles and five triples, along with 83 RBIs and 94 runs scored.

Winans graduated from Coastal Carolina in August of 2014 with a bachelor's degree in recreation and sport management. Following graduation, she worked in the Coastal athletics department, serving as an intern in the compliance department, assisting with the regulation of NCAA rules.
