Hallie King joined the Coastal Carolina women's basketball program as the director of operations on April 16, 2015.

King oversees all administrative aspects of the women's basketball program, including but not limited to building and managing the annual budget; managing the team calendar to include facilities and practice schedules; coordinating team travel; assisting with scheduling of individual practice instruction; coordinating pre- and post-game team meals; coordinating student-athlete housing to include vacation housing and per diem; assisting with on-campus recruiting; documenting practice and scouting logs; serving as department marketing liaison; coordinating community service activities; supervising office personnel and team managers; managing the scout team; serving as an academic coach; ordering team apparel and equipment; and helping with statistics and practice plans.

Since joining head coach Jaida Williams’ staff, she has helped Coastal Carolina improve from a 12-18 squad in her first year with the program to a 25-4 record in 2019-20.  The Chanticleers have had a Sun Belt Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, three conference-leading scorers, and seven all-conference performers since King joined the staff.

Prior to joining the Chanticleers, King worked closely with the men's basketball team at the University of Tennessee as a statistician. She also served as an external relations assistant to the Tennessee athletic department where she graduated in 2013 with a degree in communications. With the Volunteers, King provided CyberSports game, practice and scouting statistical analysis for the men's basketball program. King is a consultant to CyberSports, a Redmond, Wash. based company.

In 2010 as a sophomore at Tennessee, King was selected to receive the Naismith Good Sportsmanship Award, an honor presented in recognition of "tremendous sportsmanship on and off the court, positive contributions to the game and lifelong dedication to the sport." King, the 31st recipient of the award, at the age of 20 was the youngest to have the honor bestowed upon her and only the fourth female so honored. Prior honorees include John Wooden, Pat Summitt, Red Auerbach, Michael Jordan, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, and Dr. James Naismith himself.

Prior to her experience at Tennessee, King served as the official statistician/scoring and timing crew chief at the 2008 McDonald's All-American High School Basketball Games in Milwaukee, Wis. She became the first and only high school student to serve in that capacity in the 34-year history of the games.

A native of Oconomowoc, Wis., King graduated from Arrowhead High School where she kept statistics for the boys and girls volleyball and basketball teams. Hallie is the daughter of Bill and Shelley King. Her father, Bill, was the director of public relations for the Milwaukee Bucks from 1977-99.
