Nick Morgan joined the Coastal Carolina women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in August of 2021.
At Coastal, Morgan will work primarily with the guards.
Prior to joining the Chanticleers’ coaching staff, Morgan was the head women’s basketball coach at Blackburn College in Illinois for two seasons.
Before taking over at Blackburn College, Morgan was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the men’s basketball program at Beloit College. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at Illinois Central College.
He also has extensive AAU/Club coaching experience, as he was a head coach of the Midwest Elite 17U and an assistant for the Illinois Mystics and Lakeside Scholars.
Morgan, a native of Peoria, Illinois, brings a nice mixture of coaching and playing experience to the position. A graduate of Illinois Central College in East Peoria and Southern Illinois University, Morgan competed for two seasons at I.C.C. and two seasons at Judson College in Elgin, Illinois.
As a player, Morgan played at Dunlap High School where he was a second-team all-conference performer in the Mid-Illini Conference and was named the MVP of the Newman Holiday Classic
Morgan is an active member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and holds a USA Basketball Coaching License.
