In 2021-22, former Chanticleer standout Torrie Cash moved over to become the director of basketball operations for the Coastal Carolina women's basketball team.
Cash returned to her alma mater to join head coach Jaida William's staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2020.
In two seasons at CCU, Cash played in 61 games, earning the start in 52 contests. A mainstay on the court, she logged 1845 minutes of game action in two years, averaging 30.2 minutes per contest. Cash averaged 7.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game over her Chanticleer career. She also totaled 77 steals and 146 assists in her two seasons as a guard at CCU, while also shooting 82.7 percent from the free throw line and 39.2 percent from the floor overall.Â
In her senior season in 2019-20, Cash helped to lead the Chanticleers to the program's best-ever season, posting a 25-4 overall record and a 15-3 record in Sun Belt Conference play. The Chants went 14-2 overall at home in the HTC Center on the year and posted a season-high 10-game winning streak over February and March.Â
Cash joined the Coastal Carolina women's basketball program prior to the 2018-19 season from Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y. In two seasons at MCC, she averaged 12.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.
With her 802 points at MCC and 455 points at Coastal, Cash scored 1,257 career points in her collegiate career.
A Pittsburgh, Pa. native, Cash played high school basketball at Vincentian Academy.
