Costal Carolina head women’s golf coach Katie Quinney has named Alison Hovatter as the Chanticleers new assistant coach.
Hovatter comes to CCU after spending the past two seasons working with both the men’s and women’s golf programs at Mississippi. She also spent time as an intern with the Alabama Golf Association located in Birmingham, Ala.
She was a member of the Ole Miss Golf program where she had a top-10 individual finish at the 2016 SEC Championship. Earlier in the same season she had a second place finish at the 2016 University of Georgia Individual Invitational.
Hovatter participated in the 2015 and 2016 Women’s Amateur Golf Championship and was the 2014 Alabama Women’s Stroke Play Champion.
The 2016 graduate of the University of Mississippi received a Bachelor of Business Administration. She was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, Chancellor’s Honor Roll, UMAA Honor Roll and was also named to the All-SEC Community Service Team.
She also earned her master’s degree in Sport and Recreation Administration at Ole Miss and was the winner of the 2018 J. Gordon McMurray Graduate Achievement Award in Sport and Recreation Administration.
