Biography
Katy Heher is in her first year as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Coastal Carolina University, though she is no stranger to the CCU women[apos]s golf program.
Heher was a four-year letterwinner for the Lady Chanticleers, earning All-Big South Conference honors three times in her career, as well as earning the 2004 Big South Freshman of the Year honor. She was also a two-time Academic All-Big South honoree as well as earning National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors all four seasons. She concluded her career ranked fifth on Coastal[apos]s career scoring chart, averaging 78.17 in a school-record 127 rounds played.
As a sophomore, Heher helped the Coastal program to its third Big South Conference team title in history by finishing as the runner-up to teammate Ann Maness. The title also gave the Lady Chanticleers their first-ever berth in the NCAA Regionals, as the team headed to Gainesville, Fla. for the NCAA East Regional. During that season, Heher also captured her first-ever individual title, earning medalist honor at the Lady Herd/El Diablo Intercollegiate and leading Coastal to the team title in the tournament.
A native of Nichols, S.C., Heher earned her marketing degree in May 2007 and is currently pursuing her Master[apos]s of Business Administration at Coastal.
