Nick Benson joined the Chanticleer coaching staff in August 2023 as a graduate assistant coach before being appointed as a full time assistant coach in July 2025.
Benson completed his bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sport Management at CCU (2019-23) where he earned a spot on the dean’s list throughout his entire academic career.
As a graduate assistant coach, Benson assists with video analytics, statistics, and goalkeeper coaching.
The Heidelberg, Germany, native originally joined the Chanticleer coaching staff as a student manager in 2021 where he assisted with video analytics and statistics. During this role, he was able to use a data-driven perspective to provide strategic insights to players and coaches.
Currently, Nick continues to make a significant impact in the soccer community as the goalkeeper coach for all of the Beach United F.C. youth teams. His expertise and guidance provide goalkeepers with the skills and knowledge needed to excel to the next level.
Before coming to Coastal, Benson competed in the German soccer leagues (2013-19) while also serving as an assistant coach to the ESV Ansbach/Eyb U7 soccer team (2018-19) where he led them to the league title.
