Kurtis Caster joined the Chanticleers women’s tennis team as an assistant coach in August 2019.
A USPTA certified teaching professional, Caster previously worked as an Assistant Pro at Debordieu Colony Tennis Center in Georgetown, S.C. He has supervised junior clinics and taught private lessons to all ages. Caster is a USTA 5.0 rated player.
Prior to teaching and coaching, Caster was a four-year starter at Bloomsburg University, where he competed in the No. 4, 5, and 6 singles spots for the Huskies. During his time as a Huskie, Caster was named all-region for doubles play and was a three-time all-conference performer. During his senior year, he was named team captain.
Caster played at Williamsport Area High School, competing at the No. 1 singles and doubles flights all four years. He qualified all four years for the state championships during his high school career and was named a team captain for three years.
Caster's brother, Kris, played baseball for the Chanticleers from 1998-2001.
