Biography

Spring 2012: Recorded a 14-9 singles record playing in the No. 1 flight for the Chanticleers... Won her first nine singles matches in straight sets... Helped Coastal earn the No. 3 seed in the Big South Championship with a 5-3 conference singles record and was named to the all-conference singles team... Garnered a 15-8 doubles record with fellow senior Diana Mortlock to earn all-conference doubles honors... The duo went 6-2 in conference play... Bunea was named Big South Player of the Week (March 6)... Finished her career at Coastal Carolina ranked 10th on the all-times singles wins list with 74 and tied for 13th in career doubles wins (60).

Fall 2011: Advanced to the A1 doubles finals at the College of Charleston Invitational... Advanced to the semifinals after winning two matches in the A1 singles flight at the CofC Invitational... Pre-qualified for the singles event at the ITA Regionals in Chapel Hill... Won opening round doubles match with teammate Diana Mortlock at the ITA Regionals... Split a pair of singles matches in the No. 1 slot of the UNCW Invitational... Won two doubles matches with doubles partner Mortlock in the UNCW Invitational.

Spring 2011: Named to the Big South All-Academic Team... Tabbed to the all-conference singles team for the second consecutive year... Named to the all-conference doubles team... Earned Big South Conference Women[apos]s Tennis Player of the week a total of three times... Flight champion at No. 2 singles and was the flight champion at No. 2 doubles... Turned in a 22-3 record in singles play and was 21-2 when playing at the No. 2 position... Played at the No. 1 or No. 2 doubles position during the season and ended the year with a 18-5 overall record and an undefeated 7-0 mark in the Big South... Won 13 straight doubles matches to end the regular season.

Fall 2010: Finished runner-up in singles of the A1 flight at the College of Charleston Invitational ... Was a perfect 3-0 in singles matches at the Davidson Invitational (Oct. 18) ... Put together a five-match win streak in the fall, incuding winning the consolation finals at the College of Charleston Invitational and advancing to the semifinals of the UNF Fall Invitational ... Won a singles match in the ITA Regionals Main Draw, defeating Appalachian State[apos]s Ellie Linsell ... Paired with Bolesky to finish third in Flight A at the College of Charleston fall event ... Also won a match in the main draw over Winston-Salem State.

Prior to Coastal Carolina: Spent her freshman year at Virginia Commonwealth, helping the Rams to a NCAA Tournament appearance ... Posted a 21-9 singles record, including 16-6 in duals ... Played predominantly at No. 6, where she was 13-5 ... Was 12-10 in doubles, including 9-7 at No. 3.
