Aaron King

Aaron King enters his second season with the Coastal Carolina volleyball program in 2026 after joining the Chanticleers as an assistant coach in January 2025.

In his first season in Conway, King helped guide Coastal Carolina to an 18-11 overall record and a second-place finish in the Sun Belt Conference East Division. The Chanticleers produced three All-Sun Belt Conference selections, led by First Team honoree Jalyn Stout and Second Team selections Anna Rita and Emily Fowler. Stout also earned AVCA All-Southeast Region honors for the third consecutive season.

King arrived at Coastal Carolina after spending two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Mississippi State.

While with the Bulldogs, King helped coach Arissa Smith to AVCA All-South Region honors and contributed to victories over rival Texas A&M and nationally ranked Missouri during the 2024 campaign. In 2023, Mississippi State earned a top-15 victory over No. 14 Florida and collected wins over NCAA Tournament participants Western Michigan and Auburn. King also helped develop multiple student-athletes who earned SEC weekly honors and contributed to the program's academic success.

Prior to Mississippi State, King spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Stetson, helping the Hatters record 65 victories and 38 conference wins. During his tenure, Stetson posted its first winning ASUN Conference record since 2002, while King helped develop an ASUN Freshman of the Year, three All-Freshman Team selections, and three All-ASUN Second Team honorees.

King also served as a volunteer assistant coach at Western Kentucky in 2016, helping the Lady Toppers post a 30-3 record, capture Conference USA regular-season and tournament championships, and advance to the NCAA Tournament. The program produced two AVCA All-Americans and three PrepVolleyball.com All-Americans during that season.

A 2017 graduate of Western Kentucky University, King earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies after studying architectural science. During his time at WKU, he served as a practice player for the Lady Toppers and worked as a court coach at the program's volleyball camps.

King also coached with Bravo Volleyball Club in Bowling Green, Ky., serving as head coach of the 14s team and later as the club's offensive floater coach.

A native of Louisville, Ky., King graduated from Trinity High School, where he was a four-year member of the volleyball team and served as team captain during his senior season. He also competed for the Fury Volleyball Club for four years.
