Strine joins the Coastal coaching staff IN January 2026 after a decorated playing career at James Madison, where he was a four-year starter and two-year team captain. He will assist with all aspects of the men's soccer program, including player development, recruiting, training sessions, travel operations, and community outreach.
During his collegiate career with the Dukes, Strine was a staple in the lineup, playing in 81 matches, tying him for fifth in program history in career appearances. He recorded one goal and two assists across 5,254 minutes of action while posting a .370 shots-on-goal percentage. He also helped lead the team to the 2020-21 CAA Championship title, was a 2022 Sun Belt Championship finalist, and earned two NCAA Tournament berths in 2020-21 and 2023.
Before arriving at Coastal, Strine served as an assistant coach at Traverse City West High School, helping guide the program to a Big North Conference regular-season championship during the 2025 season. During his collegiate summers, he captained Seacoast United to the 2024 USL League 2 National Championship and won five divisional championships in five years.
Strine graduated from JMU in December 2024 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a minor in pre-physical therapy. He also enjoyed a decorated academic career, earning recognition as a four-time Dean's List honoree, four-time JMU Athletic Director Scholar-Athlete, and four-time Sun Belt and CAA Academic Honor Roll selection.
